This website is designed to make it easy for you to learn about the Peace Bridge project.  You can access documents, learn about issues, get updated information about public meetings and hearings, and submit comments.

The Peace Bridge is a critical infrastructure link between the world’s two leading trading partners.  The Customs plazas on either end of the bridge fulfill key security requirements for both Canada and the United States.  Notwithstanding that cross border traffic has declined since the tragic events of September 11, 2001, serious congestion issues remain due to inadequacies of the U.S. plaza and the inability to provide bridge lanes to accommodate expedited border programs such as NEXUS and FAST.  Improvements are urgently needed to address these issues and to provide the long term border capacity to allow this bi-national region to realize its full potential.
